"What does 'great lawyer' mean?

It means a lawyer who is useful for the judges in order to help them deciding in accord to justice, helpful for the client in order to support him in arguing for his case.

Useful is a lawyer who says only what is strictly necessary, who writes clearly and succinctly, who does not obstruct the hearing with his intrusive personality, who does not bore the judges with his prolixity and does not put them under suspicion with his subtlety: just the opposite, therefore, of what certain members of the public mean by “great lawyer."

PRESENTATION

Studies

After completing the Liceo classico Virgilio high school of Mantua in June 2017 with an essay about Renato Vallanzasca and crime as a tool for examining society, he began his studies at the Faculty of Law at the University of Verona. He graduated with full marks in the academic year 2022 submitting a thesis focusing on comparative public law entitled "The binding nature of case law between common law and civil law. The notable occurrence of the trial of Jesus'.

Professional Training

During the fourth year of university, he fulfilled a traineeship at the Tribunal of Verona. Across the following fifth and final year of university, he engages in an internship at a law firm in Mantua in order to approach the legal profession in advance.

In July 2022, before graduating, he embarked on his legal internship at the law firm where he then spent the next 18 months required to take the State exam.

At the end of his legal internship, while studying for the State exam, he joins a special course at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan.

Forensic Practice

The day after he earned his degree, he was officially enrolled with the Mantua Lawyers' Order and formally began his legal internship. Six months later, he passed the exam to qualify as a substitute, and so he was empowered to start advocating in person in hearings in place of the dominus.

In this manner, at the age of 25, he began conducting hearings at Tribunals on his own, across Italy, mainly in criminal matters.

Insights and curiosities

During his fourth year at university, as part of the criminal law course, he drafted an essay entitled “Non dove ma come” (Not where but how) focusing on the study of Article 416-bis of the Criminal Code and the various mafia-type criminal associations present on national and international level.

In the year 2024, he won the competition instituted by the UniverMantova Foundation ‘Premio On. Gianni Usvardi - crescere nello sport’ with his essay entitled ‘Un calcio al pallone, un calcio all'ansia’ (A kick at the ball, a kick at anxiety), which deals with the values conveyed by sport and their practical usefulness in the world of work as well.
